Child Care Subsidy rates are changing soon. 

•	    An approved provider of an education and care service that is listed on the Department of Education & Training Bushfire At-Risk Register must ensure that: 
•	The service does not operate on any day that the Victorian Emergency Management Commissioner declares as having a 'Catastrophic' Fire Danger Rating that applies to the area or district at which that service is located.
•	The service's emergency and evacuation policies and procedures required under regulation 168 of the Education and Care Services National Regulations include an Emergency Management Plan for managing the service's bushfire and grass fire related risks.
•	The service's Emergency Management Plan is kept up to date, reflects the service's operating context, is reviewed at least once each calendar year, and includes:
o	a list of the service's emergency contact details
o	procedures for monitoring and managing bushfire and grassfire risks and events
o	procedures for identifying and managing events that may cause planned, unplanned or pre-emptive closure of the service
o	procedures for notifying families of children enrolled at the service of any closure
o	procedures for reviewing and updating the Emergency Management Plan.
•	A copy of the service's Emergency Management Plan is made available to the Regulatory Authority on request.

The accompanying swimming instructor must hold a current recognised qualification in swimming and water safety, including a component of cardio pulmonary resuscitation.

Children under the age of 3 years must be accompanied in the pool ratio of 1 adult to 1 child.

Where only children under the age of 3 years are in the pool their number must not exceed 4.

Children over the age of 3 years must be accompanied in the pool in the ratio of 1 adult to 2 children.

Where only children over the age of 3 years are in the pool their number must not exceed 8.

Where children under and over the age of 3 years are in the pool at the same time, their number must not exceed 4.

A child must not be in the pool unless accompanied by a swimming instructor.

•     An approved provider of an education and care service that is listed on the Department of Education & Training Category 4 List – at some risk of bushfire or grassfire must ensure that: •	The service does not operate on any day that the Victorian Emergency Management Commissioner declares as having a 'Catastrophic' Fire Danger Rating that applies to the area or district at which that service is located.
•	The service's emergency and evacuation policies and procedures required under regulation 168 of the Education and Care Services National Regulations include an Emergency Management Plan for managing the service's bushfire and grass fire related risks.
•	The service's Emergency Management Plan is kept up to date, reflects the service's operating context, is reviewed at least once each calendar year, and includes:
o	a list of the service's emergency contact details
o	procedures for monitoring and managing bushfire and grassfire risks and events
o	procedures for identifying and managing events that may cause planned, unplanned or pre-emptive closure of the service
o	procedures for notifying families of children enrolled at the service of any closure
o	procedures for reviewing and updating the Emergency Management Plan.
•	A copy of the service's Emergency Management Plan is made available to the Regulatory Authority on request.

A fenced exclusion zone for children must remain in place a minimum of two metres out from the transformer on an ongoing basis.

The approved provider is required to ensure objects are not placed in a manner that may allow a child to climb over barriers or fences; and, all play equipment in the outdoor play spaces are maintained and placed in a way that meets the requirements of the Australian Playground Standards (Standard AS 4685:2014) with particular consideration given to falling space, impact areas and free space.

The approved provider is required to make arrangements within 3 months of approval being granted with the relevant regional office to arrange attendance when the service will conduct a rehearsal of the emergency and evacuation procedures in accordance with regulation 97(3)(a) of the Education and Care Services National Regulations 2011.

The approved provider must ensure that they incorporate and maintain natural elements and features within outdoor spaces.

Ensure that children do not access the first floor balcony area or external stairway at any time, except if required for an emergency evacuation and for periodic emergency evacuation drills.

This service is approved to provide education and care to children aged from birth up to and including over preschool age.

It is a condition of this service approval that the mirrors and CCTV cameras and monitors installed at the service are constantly maintained and operational to ensure the facilitation of adequate supervision of children at all times they are being educated and cared for at the service, having regard to the need to maintain the rights and dignity of the children as required under regulation 115 of the Education and Care Services National Regulations.

A person who holds an approved diploma-level qualification or who is a suitably qualified person as determined by ACECQA may be taken to be an early childhood teacher for the purposes of regulation 132
The approved provider must engage with an Early Childhood Teacher for the purposes of developing and implementing the education program being delivered to children being educated and cared for at this service.
The approved provider must notify the Regulatory Authority within 14 days if the waiver is no longer required

A person who holds an approved diploma-level qualification may be taken to be an early childhood teacher for the purposes of regulation 131 (130)

The approved provider must engage with an Early Childhood Teacher for the purposes of developing and implementing the education program being delivered to children being educated and cared for at this service.

The approved provider must take reasonable steps to recruit an early childhood teacher during the waiver period

The approved provider must notify the Regulatory Authority within 14 days if the waiver is no longer required

This service is approved to provide education and care to children from birth to over preschool age, including school children.

The service must ensure that the mirror installed at the service is constantly maintained and operational to ensure the facilitation of adequate supervision of children at all times they are being educated and cared for at the service, having regard to the need to maintain the rights and dignity of the children as required under regulation 115 of the Education and Care Services National Regulations.

This service is not approved to provide education and care to school children.

This service is approved under regulation 107(4) of the Education and Care Services Regulations to include the area of the eastern veranda as indoor space for the purposes of regulation 107(2).  This area is excluded from the calculation of outdoor space.

This service is approved to provide education and care to a maximum of 30 school children at any one time

The Approved Provider must ensure that the mirrors installed at the service are constantly maintained and operational. This is to ensure the facilitation of adequate supervision of children at all times they are being educated and cared for at the service, having regard to the need to maintain the rights and dignity of the children as required under regulation 115 of the Education and Care Services National Regulations.

In accordance with sections 299 A-E of the Education and Care Services National Regulations, this service is approved to provide a rest period from 12.30pm to 2.30pm on Monday to Friday.

The following restrictions apply to the use of Room 6 (pool room):&#xD;
(i) A maximum of 8 children can use Room 6 at any one time.&#xD;
(ii) Any child under three years of age is to be accompanied by a parent/guardian at all times the child is in Room 6.&#xD;
(iii) For children aged three years and over, a staff child ratio of 1: 4 children or any fraction of that number must be maintained in addition to a fully qualified swimming instructor at all times when children are in Room 6.
