The Approved Provider must ensure there are two staff members on duty and in attendance in the school hall at all times the school hall is in use.

The service must conduct, and record attendance checks following transitions between indoor and outdoor areas and extra-curricular activities.

A staff member must be engaged as a Transition Attendant when transitions occur between indoor and outdoor areas and extra-curricular activities to ensure that children are safely and freely able to transition between activities. The Transition Attendant:
  ▪ must be equipped with a ‘walkie talkie’ to enable communication with staff inside the service; and
  ▪ must complete a sweep of the area that the children transitioned away from to ensure that no child is left behind.
